If you encounter difficulties or problems operating the system, we suggest consulting the possible causes and simple solutions presented below. If this information cannot resolve the difficulty, please get in touch with Treetech's customer service team or your authorized representative.

The equipment displays self-diagnosis messages on the screen

The Voltage Regulator's firmware, AVR-v2, constantly checks the integrity of its functions and the connected sensors and modules. Any anomaly detected is signaled through its fault contact. Messages will be displayed on the AVR-v2 screen, assisting in the fault diagnosis process.

The meaning of the fault codes is shown in the tables below, respecting the digit of the display where the code appears. The system for indicating the codes is in hexadecimal encoding. If simultaneous faults occur, the number stated in a given digit will be the sum of the individual errors. Below is the table with the possible error combinations in each digit.

Voltage Regulator Self-diagnosis Indications

Self-diagnosis Panel
CodeDescriptionProbable causesRecommended actions
0001
Self-diagnosis in the parameterization stored in FLASH memory.
Internal failure in the AVR-v2 or unidentified external cause.
Please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0002Self-diagnosis of writing to FLASH memory.Internal failure in general writing to FLASH memory.

Reparameterize the equipment by entering each parameter and confirming with the “enter” key.

If the issue persists, please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0004Self-diagnosis of reading relay parameters in FLASH memory.

Internal failure in reading relay parameters from FLASH memory.

Reparameterize the equipment by entering each parameter and confirming with the “enter” key.

If the issue persists, please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0008Self-diagnosis in the measurement of the reference (1v65). Internal failure in the AVR-v2.Please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0010Self-diagnosis of CT (Measurement/Calculation) overflow. Internal failure in the AVR-v2 or unidentified external cause. Please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0020Self-diagnosis of PT (Measurement/Calculation) overflow.Internal failure in the AVR-v2 or unidentified external cause. Please contact Treetech's Customer Service.
0040Self-diagnosis of potentiometric crown reading.

a) Connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR are not shielded.

b) Shielding of the connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR grounded at more than one point, not grounded, or without continuity of shielding along the route.

c) Poor contact on the potentiometric position transmitter wiper or in the connection cables from it to the AVR.

d) Connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR with resistance greater than 8 ohms per route — reduced gauge due to the distance traveled.

e) Connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR with different gauges or lengths in each route.

f) Self-diagnosis in the adjustments of the parameters Number of taps and/or AVR Resistance, Initial Offset, Final Offset, and CDC Transition Tap.

g) There are resistors in intermediate tap positions.

h) The resistors per step of the potentiometric transmitter have a tolerance greater than 1% of their nominal value.

a) Replace the connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR with shielded cables.

b) Ground the shielding of the connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR at only one point, and maintain the continuity of the shielding.

c) Eliminate poor contact in the cables or on the wiper of the potentiometric transmitter.

d) Replace the connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR with cables of adequate gauge.

e) Replace the connection cables from the potentiometric transmitter to the AVR with shielded cables of identical gauge in all 3 routes.

f) Correct the settings of the parameters Number of taps, AVR Resistance, Initial Offset, Final Offset, and CDC Transition Tap.

g) Remove the resistors from the intermediate positions of the switch, replacing them with jumpers.

h) Replace the step resistors of the potentiometric transmitter with others of precision better or equal to 1%.
