If you encounter difficulties or issues in the operation of the system, we recommend consulting the possible causes and simple solutions provided below. If this information is not sufficient to resolve the difficulty, please contact Treetech's Customer Service team or your authorized representative.
Self-Diagnostic Indications
The self-diagnostic function implemented in the LAP allows potential faults external to the equipment, or even internal failures, to be detected and diagnosed, enabling the user to identify and correct problems quickly in most cases.
The LAP has 2 sets of self-diagnosis, SDG1 and SDG2. Upon detecting an issue, the equipment will trigger the relays associated with the self-diagnosis, illuminating the Self Diag. LED and displaying the self-diagnosis set and code alternately on its display, alongside other screens, as shown in the figure below.
The meaning of the fault codes is shown in the tables below, respecting the digit of the display where the code appears. The code indication system is in hexadecimal encoding. In the case of simultaneous faults, the number indicated in a given digit will be the sum of the individual errors. Below is the table with possible error combinations for each digit.
Code | Description |
0 | No active diagnosis |
1 | Diagnosis 1 active |
2 | Diagnosis 2 active |
3 | Diagnoses 1 + 2 active |
4 | Diagnosis 4 active |
5 | Diagnoses 1 + 4 active |
6 | Diagnoses 2 + 4 active |
7 | Diagnoses 1 + 2 + 4 active |
8 | Diagnosis 8 active |
9 | Diagnoses 1 + 8 active |
A | Diagnoses 2 + 8 active |
B | Diagnoses 1 + 2 + 8 active |
C | Diagnoses 4 + 8 active |
D | Diagnoses 1 + 4 + 8 active |
E | Diagnoses 2 + 4 + 8 active |
F | Diagnoses 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 active |
The table provides the likely causes of the problems and a set of recommended actions for each of them, allowing the operator to check the solution quickly before contacting Treetech's technical assistance or your authorized representative.

0001 | Parameterization error | Internal failure in the LAP. | Contact Treetech. |
0002 | Error in RTD self-calibration | Internal failure in the LAP. | Restart the LAP (disconnect power for a few seconds and reconnect) and contact Treetech's customer service. If the issue persists, replace the defective LAP. |
0004 | Temperature jump in one of the RTDs | Poor contact or disconnection in one of the cables connected to the terminals of the temperature sensor. | Check for the presence of poor contacts or disconnections along the entire path of the cables connected to terminals 1 or 2 of the temperature sensor, including connections to the LAP, terminal blocks, and the sensor. |
Use of unshielded cable in the connection from the Pt100 sensor to the LAP. | Verify if shielded cable is being used in the connection from the temperature sensor to the LAP.
Shields of the cables connecting the LAP to the Pt100 sensor either not grounded or grounded in more than one location. | Ensure that the shielding of the cable connecting the LAP to the temperature sensor is grounded only on one side of the connection and at the advanced opposite end.

Temperature jump error:
In case of a temperature jump error, you can perform the cleaning by performing a long press on the button on the screen displaying the temperature for the specific channel. The jump error cleaning is done individually for each channel.
In addition to the self-diagnosis, individual feedback for the jump error is provided on the query screens. When a channel has the error, the display flashes at a higher frequency than normal (used in navigation and parameter editing).
Viewing the self-diagnostic memory
A Self-Diagnostic Memory function allows you to know all diagnostic events that occurred in the LAD, such as poor contacts in the wiring of temperature sensors or internal faults. This memory is non-volatile and cumulative, meaning it allows you to know all events that occurred, but not when they occurred.
The self-diagnostic memory can be accessed by simultaneously pressing the and . There are two sets of self-diagnostic memory, identified by the acronyms DGM1 and DGM2, referring to sets SDG1 and SDG2 respectively, which can be consulted using the and .
In each of the screens, the acronyms DGM1 or DGM2 are alternately indicated with a numerical code representing the sum of the accumulated self-diagnoses since the last recovery (reset).
To reset the self-diagnostic memory, press the for 5 seconds. If there is any active diagnosis, the memory will be reset, already indicating its occurrence. Press the to return to the indication screen.
