The parameterization sheet allows you to download the current parameterization of the equipment or send a new parameterization to the device.

Download and preparation:

1. Download the parameterization sheet according to your office version (32 or 64 bit) and the firmware version of your AVR.

2. Extract the files from the zipped folder.

3. Copy the file "modbusV5.dll" to the folder "System32" (C:\WindowsSystem32) or the "SysWOW64" (C:\WindowsSysWOW64) as listed below:

  • Windows 32-bit and MS Office 32-bit → Copy to the "System32" folder
  • Windows 64-bit and MS Office 32-bit → Copy to "SysWOW64" folder

Connection and parameterization:

1. Connect the device to the machine using an RS485-USB or RS232-USB converter.

2. Go to Windows Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Device Manager. In the device's menu seek for "Ports (COM and LPT)" and double-click to expand and display the COM ports in use. If there are multiple ports in use, identify the port used by the converter.

3. Open the worksheet and click the "Enable Content" button.

4. In the "Connection" tab, configure the parameters for the connection:

  • COM Port - Number of the COM port used by the converter.
  • Baud Rate - Same value configured in the device.
  • Address - Device address on the network.
  • Time out (ms) - The time in milliseconds that the spreadsheet will wait for a response from the equipment before starting a new attempt. Keep the default value, except in specific cases.
  • Retries - Number of attempts to communicate with the equipment before determining communication failure. Keep the default value, except in specific cases.

5. Click on the "Connect" button. If the computer is able to communicate with the equipment, the word "Connected" will appear.
